Two Sides of a Coin

 Two Sides of a Coin

Every coin has two sides, so does life.

Life flips a coin, it spins in air,

Two sides glinting, bold and bare.

No truth exists in just one light,

Both day and dark complete the night.

Where dreams may soar on wings of fire,

Regrets may sit in cold attire.

The sweetest song that hearts compose,

Can end in silence, no one knows.

Where joy may bloom in morning’s grace,

Grief waits not far with solemn face.

A laugh may echo down the lane,

Yet tear and smile walk hand in hand with pain.

Love may glow with passion bright,

But hate can rise in shadowed night.

A heart once warm may turn to stone,

For every bond, some stand alone.

To win is sweet, a crown well-earned,

Yet loss is where true strength is learned.

The taste of failure, sharp and deep,

Wakes dreams that victory put to sleep.

For every truth the tongue may tell,

A lie may lurk, disguised too well.

A friend may smile and shake your hand,

Yet foes may walk in friendship’s brand.

Truth may wear a shining mask,

But fake can thrive in every task.

We chase the real in fields of lies,

Yet often miss it in disguise.

Where peace exists, a storm may brew,

The calmest face hides battles too.

A helping hand may hold a knife,

For masks are part of human life.

The dawn that breaks with rosy hue,

Will fade as dusk reclaims the blue.

For every “yes” the world may say,

A thousand “no’s” may block the way.

The world is built on contrast's thread,

Where white is white because of red.

Each truth holds echoes of a doubt,

Each silence speaks, each scream runs out.

For pain gives meaning to the cheer,

And courage grows beside the fear.

The sweetest light is born from dark,

Just like a fire begins with spark.

Embrace both halves, the dark and bright,

For stars are born from endless night.

And life, like coins, must spin and spin,

To teach you loss, to show you win.

So judge not life by just one side,

For black and white in gray reside.

Embrace the coin, both shine and scar,

You are both sides of who you are.
