        When Joy Meets Doubt

Overthinker's Loop



Why am I smiling now?
Is this joy real or just a show?
If laughter lives too loud,
Will tears rush in when no one knows?

Can happiness last?
Or is it a fragile glass?
If I hold it too tight,
Will it shatter fast?

Why do I feel so light?
Shouldn’t shadows creep inside?
If I soar too high,
Will I crash down from this ride?

What if this peace is just a mask,
And storms are waiting, patient, vast?
If I laugh more now,
Will the pain hit harder, faster, last?

Who will stand beside me,
That partner I’ve yet to meet?
Will he understand my storms,
Or just drift in silent retreat?

Will I be enough someday,
To give what parents dream?
To build a life stable and strong,
Or is it just a fleeting scheme?

So many hobbies spark my soul
Art, words, music’s call.
But can I juggle all these dreams,
Or will I let some fall?

Should I stop this smile,
Pretend I’m numb for a while?
Because the overthinker in me whispers low,
Don’t trust the calm, it’s a fleeting show.

But what if I choose to live,
In moments without this sieve?
To laugh, to feel, to let it be
And face the tears when they come for me.
