Indian Players Who Shined as Player of the Match Award in the T-20 World Cup 2024

I hope you all are doing well , just like India is doing in the T-20 World Cup 2024.

We won the World Cup. HURRAY!!

I don't have a word to express my feelings; I genuinely don't know what to write here, but yeah, it is the best feeling: watching your idols cry and dance after winning the World Cup. I don't know if whatever I'm saying is wrong or right, but yeah, for the first time, I was happy and crying by watching anybody cry.

That moment was PRICELESS !!!

I wish I could live that moment for once.


So, I will explain the Man of the Match for each game India played in the T-20 World Cup 2024 in this blog post.

ICC World Cup2024: Player of the Match 

1. INDIA VS IRELAND 

Jasprit Bumrah



The eighth match of the T-20 World Cup 2024 was played between India and Ireland in Group A. It was played on June 5, 2024, at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.
India won the toss and opted to bowl first. India dismissed Ireland for just 96 runs and chased the target in 12.2 overs.
In this match, Jasprit Bumrah was awarded Player of the Match for claiming 2 wickets in 3 overs with an economy rate of only 2. He also delivered a maiden over.

2.INDIA VS PAKISTAN

Again, Boom Boom Bumrah was awarded Player of the Match versus Pakistan. It was played on June 9, 2024, at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first. By batting first, India gives the target of 120 to Pakistan, but Pakistan scores only 113 for 7 wickets in 20 overs, and India won the match by 6 runs.
In this match, Jasprit Bumrah was awarded Player of the Match. He reported 3/14 figures, an economy of only 3.50.

3. INDIA VS USA

Arshdeep Singh


On June 12, 2024, the 25th match was played at Nassau County International Stadium in New York between India and the USA. Arshdeep Singh claimed four wickets for nine runs as the USA, batting first, were limited to just 110. For this brilliant performance, he was awarded Player of the Match.

4. INDIA VS CANADA

Match abandoned due to wet outfield (no toss).It  was the 33rd match between India and Canada at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.

5.INDIA VS AFGHANISTAN

On June 20, 2024, the 43rd match was played at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados between India and the Afghanistan.  India won the toss and opt to bat first. By batting first, India gives a good  target of 182 to Afghanistan, but Afghanistan scores only 134 for 10 wickets in 20 overs, and India won the match by 47 runs.
In this match, Suryakumar Yadav was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant knock of 53 runs in 28 balls with the strike rate of 189.29, he hits 5 fours and 3 sixes.

6. INDIA VS BANGLADESH

The 47th  match of the T-20 World Cup 2024 was played between India and Bangladesh . It was played on June 22, 2024, at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first.  India gives a good  target of 197 to Bangladesh, but Bangladesh scores only 146 for 8 wickets in 20 overs, and India won the match by 50 runs.
In this match, Hardik Pandya was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant knock of 50 runs in 27 balls with the strike rate of 185.19, he hits 4 fours and 3 sixes in the inning and also take 1 wicket.

7. INDIA VS AUSTRALIA 
Rohit Sharma


At the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St. Lucia, on 24 June, 2024, India defeated Australia in the Super Eight T20 World Cup by a score of 24 runs thanks to a terrific performance from Rohit the hitman.Sharma scored 8 sixes and 7 fours in his 92 runs for 41 balls before being out of the game by Mitchell Starc. For this fantastic knock Rohit was awarded as the Player of the Match.

8. INDIA VS ENGLAND (SEMIFINAL)

AXAR PATEL 


On June 27, 2024, the semifinal 2 match was played at Providence Stadium, Guyana, between India and England. England won the toss and decided to ball first. India batted first and gave the target of 172 runs, but England got all out in 16.4 overs, where they scored 103 runs only, and India won the match by 68 runs. Axar Patel claimed 3 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs with an economy of 5.8, in which he outed Jos Buttler in his first ball. For this, he got the player of the match award.

8.INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA (FINAL)

Virat Kohli



The last and the final match of the T-20 World Cup 2024 was played between India and South Africa. . It was played on June 29, 2024, at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
India won the toss and opted to bat first. Virat Kohli scored 76 as India posted 176/7, the highest ever team total in the history of the T20 World Cup final versus South Africa. For this  brilliant knock he awarded as Player of the Match. Literally, a goat for a reason. 

His inning makes India win the T-20 World Cup after 17 years, and after winning the T-20 World Cup 2024, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from the T-2o format. For us, this is a mixed feeling; we are the happiest people, but at the same time, we are not.

WE WON,  WE ARE UNDEFEATED TILL THE END!!!

YEAAHHHHH INDIA LIFT THE TROPHY AFTER 17 YEARS !!!!

CONGRATULATIONS !!
