Indian Men and women table tennis team has qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024🥳

We Indians are known for making history, the another history has been created by Indian table tennis players as they have qualified for the first time for Olympics .

The national men and women's team have qualified for the Olympics through the world team rankings, the first list which was released on Monday (04/03/2024).
There are 16 teams in the Paris Olympics in which Indian men's team is ranked 15 while the women's 13.

This is a significant achievement for Indian table tennis as they will compete in the team event at Olympics for the first time since it's launch during the Beijing Olympics 2008.

Seven spaces in the team event remained after the world team championship final on Busan last month, which was the final qualification event for the Olympics in Paris.

At the ITTF team championship finals, both Indian teams ( men and women) were eliminated before the quarterfinals, which prevented them from competing in the Olympics.
The experienced Sharath led men's table tennis team was defeated 0-3 by South Korea, while the Manika Batra led women's team suffered a 1-3 loss against Chinese Taipei.

We hope and pray that the Indian table tennis team perform admirably at the Olympics in Paris.
